Elephants in battle

A war elephant was a military elephant that had been trained and guided by humans. The main purpose of the war elephant was to assault the enemy, break their ranks, and terrorise and terrify them. On Friday, Maharashtra became the first state to reach the milestone of 100 Omicron cases. Experts have noticed that while Omicron is not currently the prevalent form, it is contributing to the increase in Covid cases.



The Maharashtra government issued a 9-hour night limit in the state on Friday, which would take effect immediately after the state became the first to pass the 100-case milestone in Omicron instances. There will be no gatherings of more than 5 individuals at any location between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., with the exception of vital services. The government has also imposed a limit on the number of individuals who can attend weddings and religious activities. Anil Parab, a Maharashtra minister, stated that such activities held in an enclosed space will be limited to 100 people, while open-air events will be limited to 250 people. The minister stated that hotels, spas, and theatres can continue to operate at 50% of their full capacity.

Maharashtra reported 108 Omicron cases as of Friday evening, with 54 of them having been released. On Friday, 11 additional instances were recorded from Mumbai, six from Pune, two from Satara, and one from Ahmednagar. 15 of the new patients have travelled internationally, one has travelled domestically, and four others have come into close touch with them. Six of the patients are over 60 years old, with one being a youngster. According to a statement, all new patients are asymptomatic.
